Urgent Message for Douglas County Properties

Please be aware that a Douglas County Court Judge has been dismissing eviction cases if the Three-Day Notice to Quit for nonpayment of rent does not include the following:

1. Where to pay the rent (office, drop box, online, etc.);
2. What method of payment (check, money order, etc.); and
3. The method of service (hand delivery or mail).

Please review your Three-Day Notices and make sure the Notice contains all three of those requirements.
