Maintenance Toolbox: Appliance Repair Clinic March 2026

Class Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
March 2nd - March 5th
Fundamentals: Introduction to basic electricity and electronics, including Ohm’s Law, circuits, motors, and fundamental gas principles.
Appliance Systems: Operation, components, and troubleshooting of major household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, and water heaters.
Technical Skills: Disassembly and reassembly procedures, component replacement, interpretation of wiring diagrams, use of diagnostic tools, and fault code analysis.
Safety: Proper tool use, safety devices, and compliance with EPA refrigerant requirements, including EPA 608.
Professional Skills: Customer service, effective communication, service call preparation, and preventative maintenance practices.
About your instructor:

Kevin Nordhagen, our NMA Instructor joined the NMA in November 2024. Kevin is an army veteran who has work in many areas of construction and property management. He started his building career with new home construction, learning each of the trades then getting into commercial construction. Kevin has spent many years in the property management sector as a maintenance technician, special projects tech, and Maintenance Supervisor. Kevin chose to cross over to the office for a while just to learn the other have of property management.
