Ernie Goss, Ph.D. is the Jack MacAllister Chair in Economics at Creighton University and principal of the Goss Institute in Denver, Colorado. A U.S. military veteran, Dr. Goss has served as a faculty research fellow at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and as a visiting scholar with the Congressional Budget Office.

He has published over 100 research studies focused on economic forecasting and the statistical analysis of business and economic data. His books include Changing Attitudes Toward Economic Reform During the Yeltsin Era (Praeger Press) and Governing Fortune: Casino Gambling in America (University of Michigan Press).

Dr. Goss is editor of Economic Trends, a monthly economics newsletter with more than 10,000 subscribers. He produces the widely cited monthly Business Conditions Index for the nine-state Mid-American region and conducts a survey of bank CEOs in 10 U.S. states. His findings are regularly featured in national and regional media, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and more than 100 newspapers each month. His Regional Economic Report is broadcast monthly on 75–100 radio stations.
